I’m currently attending a University in America.  However, I would enjoy moving to Spain after I finish my degree.  I am getting a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Software Engineer.  Do you think I will be able to find a job with this degree(I’m looking for something in the field of software development/engineering as a job)?

You?ll definitely be employable if you have the right skills and experience.  What you need to do, to be competitive, is to specialise in a particular language.  Obviously things like Java, CORBA and C++ are all the rage at the moment but that may change by the time you start looking for a job.  Are you a European or American?

Right now you could earn up to something like 60K? working for one of the large scientific institutions list ESA, ALBA or in the field of astronomy.  But generally speaking these sorts of salaries are far and few between.  Something like 20K? to 30K? would probably be the norm.

You would also need to co-validate your qualifications.  This can be a frustrating task in itself.

I’m sure the large institutions will require a substantial amount of experience and I doubt I’ll be able to provide that when I first begin looking.

there’s so much work for Ajax out there too, something I’m sure was covered in school. Everyone wants/ needs to keep up to web 2.0 now, especially the property sites (lots of money in syndicated content).

I doubt you’ll have a problem. Work a year at yahoo Spain, or something, and you’ll be a hot commodity. In computers its the skillz, not the education.
