hi there, im jamie, nearly 18, and i have always wanted to live sumwhere in spain
my plan is when i am 18, i will hav ?10,000 to get me going…, i would like to probably rent for first few months, and hopefully find a job there as a barman or something along those lines, then when i have saved enoug money, i would want to buy a cheap house or villa etc in need of renovation, spend time and effort on it, then liv in it, or sell it for extra money, does any1 have any tips or advice plz

Hi, im not actually living in Spain yet, just researching it at the moment.
But what ive found is really useful (apart from this site) is watching those “A place in the sun” programmes, if you have Sky or Virgin Media you can watch them back-2-back on the travel & living channel, loads of useful advice on their regarding renovating and relocating!

I doubt you’d make enough money to save for your own place by working in a bar. You might be better off just saving more by working in UK then going out there, perhaps you could buy a bar eventually?!
