Hi

I’m looking for a PHP developer that is willing to train a web designer in PHP programming.

Cheers!

Hmm, I am a time served Web-developer that has been building PHP driven sites for many years now.

I guess the first thing to say is there is lots of manuals, programming courses out there to help with PHP (if you really, really want to learn this is the way as 1 on1 training all the way through to proficiency is asking a huge amount) and of course there is now many PHP driven CMS systems that can do most of the task’s a ‘‘webdesigner’’ in the past would have been commissioned to deliver. Joomla! rocks for ‘‘designers’’ looking for developing sites that are interactive and content rich.

If you really want to learn PHP, first question would be what other programming languages do you know? secondly why?

It is usually far more cost efficient to outsource custom coding work than actually learn to do it.

Do you use Joomla?

Best, K

I agree with Kachina- outsourcing is very cheap. Google free lance programming and you will find a good deal of sites with people who will work for dirt. I have used Rent a Coder in the past with fairly good luck.
If you have the time to learn it yourself, use the money to buy a good book on the subject where you can learn at your own pace, and be cost effective at the same time.
