Can anyone help? I have a NIE cause i’m a second year auxiliar in a school, but I want to leave because I’ve been offered my dream job! Only problem is I don’t have afiliaci?n de seguridad social, so getting me a contract is a problem. What’s going on? thanks!

If you worked with a regular contract, the company should have paid the seguridad social. The fact that you don’t have the ‘afiliaci?n de seguridad social ... simply means they didn’t. To get an afiliaci?n you simply have to go to the Seguridad Social with your NIE and passport and ask for a social security number.

Ahem ... if you look up in the telephone directory you’ll find the main office where you live. Look for Seguridad Social ...  😊
Usually the offices are open until 2.00 p.m. (at least in Alicante where I actually live ...)
