Hello,

I new to this, I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice, I have over 9 years experience in secretarial work and I have just done at 3 day course in TEFL.  I also speak, write and speak Spanish to an intermediate to advanced level.  I moving over in June near Alicante, do you know if with my experience I will be able to get a job in this market, do you think I have my head in the sand?

Thank you Teresa

Hi Teresa

I’ve been job hunting for 2 months now and there are lots of jobs out there for secretaries and teachers, it’s just a case of finding them!  Try some of these job sites before you move over here to see what’s out there:

http://www.thinkspain.com
http://www.tiptopjob.com
http://www.jobfinderspain.com

If you’ve recently qualified with TEFL, can’t they recommend a placement for you?  I thought that was part of the course?  It’s something I looked into recently.

Good luck

It will be tough in this market, but there will be jobs available with your qualifications so long as you are not too worried about the level of pay! Good luck.
