We have been approached by a UK co, with a local office/representative to do a credit audit on any/all of our UK debts.
(From HP agreements to mortgage, UK credit card etc).
They are working on the basis of the court ruling that prior to April 2007 lenders were not presenting well thought out - and possibly illegal contracts.
‘If’ one is successful in a legal action against one’s lender - there is a ‘possibility’ of having the total debt wiped out!!! (or the monies paid refunded).

Does anyone have an experince of these cos?
Would it be worth the ?495 fee they are asking up front to start this action? (They say they will only take on cases that have a
90% chance of success).

We are aware that this might be one of those ‘too good to be true’ offers - So are asking around to see if anyone has had any success with these cos!
😊

ps - they say they are regulated by the ‘Ministry of Justice’ in the UK - but as their representatives are based here - who are likely NOT regulated - we don’t know where we stand….

We are going to give this one a wide berth!
I know we are not allowed to ‘name & shame’.. but the co is located in La Cala de Mijas, Malaga,
with connections to a larger co based in Manchester, UK - who are supposed to do all the paperwork.
We reckon the ‘local contact’ will take your money, shut up shop before 12 months is up - i.e long before
anyone sees any refund/reward on thier initial input.
Sometimes when you think it is ‘too good to be true’ it is!

Hi All… just to follow up with jurdys reply above…
I am happy to tell you who the co/s are… but I have no proof… just ‘gut feeling’.
However, said UK co is being investigated by Martin Lewis’s ‘Moneywise’ (website)... plus they would
not comment AT ALL when asked by ‘Money Mail’ (Daily Mail) for comment on customers disatisfaction.
Guess that says it all!

There is some possibility of having the debt wiped if the contract and paperwork was not correct at the time you took out the agreement.

It is easy to do it yourselve, but financial institutes tend to employ intelligent legal peeps, so the chances of getting a loan wiped due to a missed signature etc is as likely as Obama doin the moon walk whilst smokin a spliff at michael jacksons funeral.
