  I am a a Secondary school graduate student from Jordan. I’ve been issued a student visa Type D on an admission in a language and preparation program for the university entrance exam(selectividad). The embassy issued me a 90 days visa with validity from 20-7-2009 until 14-5-2010 (knowing that 14-5-2010 is the last day of my program). Now, the problem is I have university entrance exam in June 2010 and in July the same year I ‘m going to apply for a Spanish university and wait til Iam admitted to a university, so here, the NIE expires I guess in 14-5-2010, so is the visa or NIE renewable here in this gap period June and July 2010. Will I be able to renew this visa while I’m in Spain in order to get and admission to a university there?. Moreover, the embassy here requested me to buy a two-way ticket from the day I travel and return in 14-5-2010, is this right? since I don’t intend to comeback home I want to finish the language program and go on to apply for an admission to university…

once you enter spain with that visa, you can go to your school and enrol but i suggest you go first to the corresponding police station to apply for the student permit or card.
you just renew the card 2 months before it expires. and keep on doing that until you finished all your studies.
enrol in spanish at the http://www.eoidiomas.com so you don’t have problems renewing the student card, the program is three years.
about the return ticket, you can have it cancelled once you get the card.
