So it comes, I will move to Spain!:) Dear all can you please help me to find the best location for the person
who have enough money to live and not work. I don’t like busy places, and also too much quiet is not for me.
Probably I will be a student in some art subject. That means that I like art galleryes and beautiful places.
I will be so glad if you can help me.

Go Bilbao, San Sebastien, Pamplona, Zarragoza, Logrona.

Madrid or Barcelona good but busy.

South of Madrid is full of idiots with no class or culture of there own.

East coast is full of Guiri`s and tourists. Barcelona included.

Galicia may be too wet a quiet and lacking your artistic needs.

My choice is money no issue would be San Sebastien, great food, culture, close to southern France. The north is the brains region of Spain, full of culture and class. Also great for out doors, really good for painting.

It where the educated Spaniards holiday when staying in Spain.

Sounds like you want the best of both worlds - like me.
Big tip for you / if you use the internet a lot try to base your selection/s around the internet speeds in that area.
(On facts and not here say)

I have found some lovely places all around the Country - but a lot of them had to come off the list due to 1mb lines and lower.
My cents worth anyways..

Typically a 6mb line will give you anything from 500-900’ish kb’s download speed.
So a 3mb should be fine for most people, however a 1mb for the most part barely floats anywhere near that :(

There is using the net and then there is using the net for media purposes.

I can’t be bothered with this crap - What is it with this forum ???
Everyone seems to jump in and have a go at other peoples ideas and thoughts.

If I wanted an educating lesson I would’ve asked for it.
Enough with the response to make out you’re being a middle ground kinda guy, as you are not.

Do you live/have lived in Spain ?

I wonder due to the difference in internet speeds by various providers and speeds available in Spain how one could assume that the internet speed would provide the location requirements a person would require.

It was an odd suggestion to me as to how this would be useful.

Can you elaborate ?

Thank you a lot for your advises now I will look more attentive to the areas that Santi recommended to me and
I think that will be great if it will be high speed internet also at this areas.

Do you mean the region or the city ?

I like the city, its a good up and coming place have received a lot of investment and events.

The festivals are very popular and well known around the world.

As for my suggestions, the Basque country has probably the best communications and cable providers in Spain.

Health service and amenities are better than the rest of Spain and you`ll be hard prest to find a council/police corruption scandal in that region. Land issues are also not a problem and buying property is alot more secure.

I do live in Spain - and my personal view is that I would not buy another property if it had 1mb or lower.
3mb+ is fine, and would only use Telephonica - overall.
