Hi,
I can only receive a signal at the front of my house so I have decided to get a repeater but the frequency the repeater works with is 900mz. I’ve googled and can only find that Movistar uses 900/1800mz. Can anyone tell me if they use 900 OR 1800 as I don’t want to spend a lot of money if they use the 1800 band.

Hate to say but I doubt this will help much, as you may boost the incoming signal but what about the outgoing signal? also due to the way GSM works there is a limitation on the distance you can be from the cell (30K is about the limit)

A 900 Mhz booster will work for Movistar, only make sure it’s a 900 Mhz GSM booster (bidirectional).  As experience setting up repeaters, make sure outside you have good signal.  Also note that 900 Mhz is for voice and gprs, no 3G!  (Some places they are putting new 3G only towers, perhaps it’s a good try to see if with a 3G phone you have good signal).
