is it true spain doesn’t allow u.s. citizen to enter if their passport was just issued. i heard that if ur passport is 6months old or less you can’t travel to spain. is this true?

I?m sure someone can advise you better than I can as I don?t really know much about this but I always thought it was the other way around - that the problem was with your old passport having less than 6 months validity remaining.

thanks for replying. i logged onto spain chat and someone said the same thing u said. she said it only applies if your passport is about to expire within 6 months.  she said it doesnt matter if your passport is new and that the rule doesn’t apply.  again thanks. enjoy your day
