The digital camera I had before this one; great but once when the weather was hot, as it is here, a fault developed that lost picture colour; it gave most images a bleached effect. As it was still under warranty it was repaired FOC. Now the same has happened with my Sony digital.
I know it is warm but I would have thought these kind of temperataures were commonplace throughout half the world much of the year. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

To be honest no

- I had an early Olympus digital camera which I actually kept in the car and after 6 years or so it still works - I think you have been unlucky - they also say to buy cameras from the original camera makers ie Nikon, Olympus etc.

Not had this kind of problem either with several different digicams.  Could it be a damaged media card perhaps..?
