Hi, I live in Lliria (Valencia) and have worked as a private tutor for the past few years in the UK. I’m a fully qualified teacher and have all the relevant paperwork and child protection papers, etc. I’ve pasted the text of my “lamp post” ad below to fill you in on details. I’d ideally like to work as a homeschooler again, but am very happy to take on private pupils for an hour a week too! Initial consultation with parents and pupil is free, and gives you a chance to see my set up (I’m hoping to have an interactive projector set up in the next few weeks!).

Thanks for looking, apologies if this is in the wrong section - I’ll happily move it.

Having worked as a professional tutor in England for 3 years, I am hoping to continue in Spain. I can offer English tuition as a foreign language to business and degree level, but my main background is in teaching teenagers. I can either offer support for school work, or a complete course following UK GCSE or A-level courses in English and English Literature, or to GCSE in Mathematics and can arrange exam entries if necessary.

I have kept a 100% A*-C pass rate in 3 years and have worked with students with special educational needs or who have had to leave school because of emotional issues.

I charge an hourly rate of ?20, discounts are available for those studying a full course. This fee includes books and resources. I am currently registering as self-employed in Spain, so tax receipts can be given if necessary.

If you just want to have some fun learning English or have a conversation partner for some free language exchange, then that?s OK too!

You may want to post two separate ads (and I’ll delete this reply if you want), one where you’re looking for work (in the jobs section) and the other where you’re offering your services as a service provider in the Business Services section of the forum. Those are two different audiences though, so take care to tailor your ad accordingly.
