Hi
My partner and I are moving to Spain (Furengirola area) later this month and are looking for accommodation (preferably an apartment rather than hotel)  - at least one bedroom with separate lounge, bathroom and kitchen areas.  All the accommodation sites I look at are aimed at tourists.  We don’t want to spend more than 800 - 100 euros per month.

Does anyone know of the best web sites (or whatever) that can direct me to accommodation that is available for someone moving to spain, rather than just taking a holiday?

Thanks
😖

I would normally say loquo.com for most areas of Spain, but I’m not sure how good their coverage is in Fuengirola.

Hi Alan & Veronica

If you intend to rent in Fuengirola, I would not recommend renting till you come to Fuengirola.

The town is divided into zones: Fuengirola, los boliches, Torreblanca, Los Pacos and Carvajal.

Most 2 bedrooms in a central location or near the beach should start at around 600? per month, water and electricity apart
1 bedrooms in similar locations 500? per month.

go online and check out the classifieds in ‘Sur In English’
(They do a pdf download of the full paper if you want to get a taste).
It is a renters market at the moment, so as long as you do your homework AND perhaps book into a
hotel short term to check the deal is real…
Go for it!
Any reputable agent/landlord should offer you a ‘temporada’ - this is a renewable (with landlords discretion)
11 month contract.
Watch out for sticky agents… You may be asked to pay a months rent to them as a finders fee..
better to go direct to owner?
Sorry if you are experienced renters, but do take precautions, get copies of all receipts, documents, make sure
you see the elec bill each month etc, etc.

See you soon!

ps - a 2 bed flat on seafront in Los Boliches in Winter time should cost no more than Euros 650!  But of course will go
up in summer…
Try to get a year round deal (they do exist - but you will be tied into the full years rental amount.  But hopefully you will like it here!)
