We are having a hard time finding the right service in the Sitges area (08818). Unfortunately, the FAP of satellite solutions makes it unsuitable for us. Streaming for AppleTV/skype/downloading movies/music caused us to exceed the FAP within a week. And we aren’t teens using torrents 24/7…

Does anyone know of any good WiMAX provider/resellers in the Sitges/Castelldefels area? We know of Iberbanda, but looking for someone who knows our area AND knows what options might be out there.

The satellite we use is on eurobird 9a ka band 9d east.
max download 10.2mb max upload 4mb so its pretty quick and works basically anywhere

I guess you cant get a landline solution?

Problem is of course that Iberbanda and virtually every Wimax or sat internet operator has FAP’s / FUP’s that are anything but ‘Fair’

We are fairly heavy users of the internet and when we were considering migrating from Telefonica to a Sat or Wimax operator I installed a little gizmo that actually monitors the amount of traffic up and down from our individual computers. Since the 1st Feb we have used a total of 210Gbs.

You could try loading the same device to your computer to see what your actual usage is. Its free and downloadable from

You can then get a good idea of how much you would have to pay for a non-landline solution.

just was in Sitges to day and we have are new system up and runing there , are you in the town are outside ? the area we cove is from the rugby club to the town area ,
