I have been told that there are grants for new parents, ie, the spanish government gives a small grant to pregnant mothers. Does anybody know anything about this ? Thank yoiu

Hi Kimberley…

The answer is yes; a 2500 Euro is available currently but it is my understanding that this grant is one of the areas affected by the governments plan to cut public expenditure so it is unlikely to survive much longer…

Yeah, kind of. But the government’s got a massive deficit to plug, so everyone’s making sacrifices so Spain doesn’t end up like Greece.
