Hi, I have been offered an ideal admin job in Spain however have been advised that there will be no contract drawn until I pass a 3 month probation..

I have just read that if you get caught working without a contract you could get sent home with no-entry on your passport!
I certainly do not want this to happen!

Is it common for people to be offered jobs here without contracts? The company appears legit so I am suprised and dissapointed.

If anyone has any good advice, please let me know.

A fixed (Fijo) contract can have terms written into it,in this case the probabtion period.

You can also have short term contracts for any period.

The issue for employers is that there are financial implications for removing an employee from a contract.

Spain also has a huge black economy based around casual illegal work, if your company is not making proper deductions to the TAX and social security then you are an illegal worker.

From experience this employer has no intention of employing you legally or for the long term.

Be careful. Not is legal work without contract. If you do that, you won’t have rights, NHS. Not is a goog idea and I’m sure the company isn’t legal.

no contract no rights ..... that it as Santi says you get a probabtion period in the 6 month contract , you nie and work permit wich is in you contract
how going two pay tax ? nhs =  Health Insurance and so on .... think you only going work 3 months there and let go again , job are hard two come by here

I never took the job in Spain, told them where to stuff it!

I am now working in Gibraltar with a contract etc, so it’s all good, glad i rejected the job in Spain thats for sure!
