hello!
i am moving to barcelona end of july but will be in town for a wknd before then to look at apartments etc.

is there a good public transport system that is easy to get around? i do have a bicycle (with no gears as its from holland!) is it easy to cycle around the city?

Public transit is excellent. One of the best I’ve used anywhere, perhaps better than Tokyo’s. Certainly better than London and NYC.

There’s also the bicing program, which is awesome. It’s a bike rental system where you pick up a bike and drop it off as you need it, for free up to an hour at a time I think. http://www.bicing.com
