Hey Everyone!

I’m a 26 year old american male who is looking to apply to graduate school in Barcelona.  I have studied Spanish in Spain before and have spent some time in Barcelona.  My problem is that I cant find much information on the quality of the Universities in Spain.  I am really interested in a program at Barcelona Business School (International University of Southern Europe) but can not find any info about it besides their webpage. http://www.barcelona.uibs.org/index.html

What make me a little nervous about this school is the lack of information and the fact that they want me to send 200 Euros non-refundable by Paypal.  I was hoping someone here might know something about this University in particular.  Something, Anything….

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
CRJB77

Thanks for the response.  I found out that it wasn’t accredited.

What about EAE Business School in Barcelona?  The only information I could find on EAE was a wiki article and thats not always the most reliable.  I just got an acceptance letter from them and am trying to find as much info on them before I make a payment.  Thanks again.

That’s why I put that link in - they have a list of government “approved” universities there. As I do not know what EAE stands for, I couldn’t find it on the list. That might be a big thing…

I assume the list you are talking about is located here?
http://www.educacion.es/educacion/universidades/educacion-superior-universitaria/que-estudiar-donde/universidades-espanolas.html

EAE stands for Escuela de Administraci?n de Empresas.  It is associated with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the University of Barcelona, and Universidad Camilo Jos? Cela.

All three are on the list I linked above, if that is the list you were talking about.  I’m not sure if being “associated” is good enough or if I should look for one of the schools on the list.

From what I could find by googling, it seems that EAE is a quality school.  I was just hoping for some clarification from someone who might live in Barcelona or know something about Spanish schools.

Anyways, thanks again.

Hi,

I got accepted to study in EAE Business School program of Master of International Business in Barcelona, I am supposed to begin my studies in October 2011.
I was just wondering did you accept and start your studies in the particular school, if yes I would appreciate a lot if you could provide me some information about the level of studies, teaching methods overall what do you think of the school, is it worth paying for?

Thanks beforehand.

I?ve been also doing my research and got to know about EAE from a Spanish friend who was doing executive training there (short-term courses). From what I understood, this is a traditional Spanish school with not so many international students, or let?s say non-native Spanish speakers. I?ve been also looking for a similar degree and I really wanted it to be of international focus. At the end I opted for Global Business School Barcelona http://global-business-school.org/. I?ve been in touch with the staff there who told me more about the Msc in International Business Management which looked more appropriare and interesting to me. Waiting for the admission now…
