Hi,

Could anyone tell me what I should expect to pay tax-wise on renting my property for one year.  I am a resident (here more than half the year), it is my primary residence, I don’t earn any income in Spain (apart from the rent that I will receive) and I haven’t declared before so I am not fiscally resident.  The amount is 5,200 euros for the year which they said they will pay me in advance at the beginning of the contract (which starts mid August this year) - will this fall within my personal allowance which I believe is around 6,000 per year?  Any advice greatly appreciated.

If that is the only world wide income that you are declaring then I think you will pay very little, if any, tax in Spain. But you should still make a declaracion next year. There are benefits in being fiscally resident.
