HI, would anyone be able to tell me how much English teachers get paid in Spain currently? I worked there almost 20 years ago , hahahaha…and now need to make some decisions on moving there. How much can one expect per hour as private teacher? And round ballpark figures for employees doing half-day or full-day for the duration of the Curso? I am finishing my Master’s degree in Linguistics and would like to teach on that level. Also, are there any positions available in the are surrounding Malaga that anyone is aware of? Thanks a million for any input!

I live about an hour from Malaga and the going rate for Private classes is 15 euros per hour. Language Schools pay staff about 10 euros per hour.
You may be able to charge more in the city.
