Hi all,

I’m going to be in Spain from February to November next year.  I’m hoping to live in a inland town or village where I can soak up a bit of village life and work on my (currently terrible) Spanish.

I’m thinking of the Granada, Andalucia, Valencia or Extraderma areas.  Villages I like the look of are:  Trujillo, Teruel, Alhama De Granada, Zafra, Cuenca, and also the city of Granada.  Basically - I’m looking for somewhere inland, that’s not too touristy.

I’m very open to share accommodation, or renting a room with a family (or perhaps even renting a spare room from an older Spanish couple?)  I thought the share accomodation idea might work OK in Granada where there are lots of students.  Or, I’m happy to rent a small 1 bedroom place by myself.

If anyone has any suggestions or tips for good rental agents, or places I might be able to find some share accommodation - please let me know!

thanks 😊

It is a great way to explore Spain and renting apartments is far more costa effective than staying in overpriced, cramped hotels.
