I am hoping to move to Spain in the next 5-10 years, after I finish my schooling and job training.  I currently live in the United States.  I am wondering how long a move like this has taken others.  I am young (22), so I don’t have many things tying me down here other than school.  How much time to plan and how much cost before actually living in Spain.  I just would like to hear what others have experienced in their moves to Spain.

I’m just curious as to why someone would want to leave the USA and relocate when the US is supposed to be the land of milk and honey?

The USA may be the land of milk and honey for some, but not all Americans have the same ideals.  There are much more important things to me than having money.  Like good surroundings, neighbors I know and trust, strong ties within communities, CULTURE.  I would rather live somewhere where life isn’t taken for granted so much and enjoyed more.

I see, I guess I’ve got a different view of the US because all I know is what it’s like at Disneyland.

Same here! Just planning to move Spain from USA. Reason is the profile I am looking for is quite difficult to find here where I stay currently. One of my friend in Spain told me that it is going to be easy there.

I too, am moving out of the US to Costa del Sol. I will be retiring soon and looking forward to moving there.

I just purchased an apartment in Mijas Costa, and I will be there on Vacation end of May and most of June.

I live in Arizona, as well as Florida. But I love the Costa del Sol,
