Just registered as a new member.  I bought an apartment in Calahonda in 2004.  I just have one question.  Now that the recession has hit, we are checking all bills.  I just received my bank statement and Endesa debited 28.74 from my account.  This is a regular occurence.  We have not been at the apartment since August and I have not rented it out either.

Could somebody please explain to me, if this is the proper procedure with Endesa and how do they calculate such an odd amount to debit?

Many thanks

carhog hi!
Its what we in the UK used to call the ‘standing charge’ plus meter rental plus IVA. It is therefore an unavoidable charge.
The standing charge itself varies with according to the contract in terms of the agreed consumption. ie a 9.2Kw contract carries a higher standing charge than the 4.3Kw contract.
