Hello, I am looking to rent an apartment in Malaga for March, April, and May for me, my sister, and my boyfriend.  We were quoted 187 euro a person for two rooms, with internet but no gastos included.  I wanted to get a sense of your ideas about if this is a good price.  I would ideally like to have something lined up before we arrive, but I am not sure if this is too expensive.

A bit off the subject (I can post this in another forum as well). . .my sister and boyfriend are entertainers (guitar and bellydance).  Does anyone know what their opportunities might be to play at a restaurant for money?  Thanks for your help.

Hi, a Malaga city location is more expensive and i would sniff around in the outlying areas as the bus routes are good and dependable from along the coast- east or west of Malaga. To get some comparison of rental prices i would use www.kyero.com which is a site which agents use to advertise - you can do a search and then go on the agents sites to get an idea of prices

- the east of malaga area is least expensive or inland - coin or velez-malaga etc. but then you would need a car. Its best to rent somewhere long term if you can and then the rent is usually less, usually 11 month contract in spain. You may not get your deposit back from my experience, so dont count on it.

RE the other qu. I guess the west of Malaga has more english bars etc which may take on entertainers, but i have little knowledge of the current market for these skills.
hope this helps and welcome to spain! - art
