I need a certified copy of a passport for use by my spanish lawyer.He can get a Spanish Notary to do this if I send the passport through the post.I’m in Uk at present, can I get an acceptable certified copy over here rather than trust the post? Who do I need to see?

Suggest you obtain a notarised copy in the UK as against mailing your actual passport anywhere

Bear in my that if it is for Spanish authorities or a Spanish organisation, you may need the notary’s words of certification to be in Spanish. A certified copy done at a British consulate in Spain can be done in either English or Spanish - unfortunately this is probably not much help to you…maybe a Spanish consulate in the UK could do it in Spanish??

Certify? You just have to get it notarized.
