Any ideas what it is like living in Tarifa?
We’re on the costa at the moment but it’s pretty quiet where we are…looking for somewhere with a bit more nightlife.
Only cons I could see are wind and very touristy in summer.
I mean is it literally windy EVERY day? Might be a pain to relax on the beach.
Any other coastal places worth trying out for a few months?

I’m just trying to remember the saying about the folk who live in Tarifa.  Something definatlely about going mad with the constant wind! (It is after all the windiest place in Europe and hence the windsurfing/kiting mecca it is).
As for nightlife… possibly a tad better than many ‘small costal towns’.  But like anywhere, out of season vitrually do do - except for the few trendy die hards that stay on year round.
Are you looking for Puerto Banus, Benalmadena, Fuengirola type night life?  or just something a bit livelier than a one bar town?

I fancied East of Malaga at one point, but know they are a little quiet out of season.

I guess it all depends on what you want from a place.

Cadiz (region), would be my choice if I didn’t have to live where there was a chance of work…
or possibly Almeria (but have only been for short visits so would have to suss it out before making a move).
