Hi everyone
I am an Indian Passport holders living in India and currently working as an IP Lawyer for a firm based out of Australia. My firm gives me the flexibility to travel and work from anywhere in the world and I hence chose Granada to spend the next year of my life. I have been thinking over what kind of Visa should i look to obtain. I will continue to work for the firm during my stay in Granada.
I also wish to enroll myself in a Spanish Language course and have been advised by an agent here that I should get a Student Visa. I thought it was a good idea since it really needs minimum documentation. Any thoughts on that??
Also, with respect to my employment, I will continue to pay taxes in India- Technically, this would not amount to employment in Spain. Would this be a problem to explain to the embassy?
I intend to be there in August 😊
Looking forward for some advice, Thanks
Vandana

I know a great school in Granada, it is called don Quijote. You can read about it here:

And sign up here:

Really good school that can adapt to all your needs and a wide range of accommodation options to get you though the year.

I would reccomend the student visa. In order to get it, you will have to already enrolled in an academy who will they send you a letter of “invitation” which you will need in order to get a student visa.

Regarding your work, if your company is based out of India, and pays you out of India, and has no branch in Europe, then you effectively work for and only for India. If they allow you freedom of movement, then you may physically be in Spain but you still only work for India. This would change if your company had any branch or legal entity in Europe…

Good luck, we hope to see you soon!
