Hello to all in Spain from a very wet Britain. I’m posting this message in hope of using your knowledge of business & living in Spain and was wondering if there would be a market for my business in Spain as my family are looking to move over. I am a workshop Joiner currently designing & producing wooden planters and other wooden products from my base in Edinburgh, Scotland. With the current weather situation over here, I’m now seriously looking to bring my family & business over to the sunshine. Any information would be gratefully received regarding competition, locations, the market place & could I make a living doing this over in Spain. Aly what are you planning to do out there? If it is construction woodworking then I think you may have a hard time. It totally depends on what area you are heading to really, as some areas have a very strong and healthy crafts scene.

Both Minorca and Mallorca have thriving craft industries, as does Ibiza, around Granada, the Valencia region.

Just a little Spanish, but always try speaking spanish when over in Spain, I now I will pick it up fast if I lived there. Going to Majorca, Italy, France & Menorca over the next 2 weeks, will have a good look around. Are you spanish Gitano?
