Hello,

I just wanted to ask a question, if you can PLEASE be so kind as to assist me.

I am going to Barcelona at the end of August to go look for a job, and for a place to live. I have researched Barcelona as much as I could but without actually being physically there, I cannot get an idea of where to live.

I want to start out in one of the 10 districts outside the metropolitan area that is NOT the poorest rundown district, nor the richest and most expensive area to live. I am looking for a nice decent area where the cost of living is not as high as living in the center of Barcelona. Can you just please give me an idea what district to start looking for an apartment at? Thanks so much!

Hi Linda,
I think you will find that living just outside of barcelona is what will save you some on the rent you pay.
places like Prat de llobregat, Viladecans. Are all 15 minutes by train or bus.
This is what most (spanish) people do. So there is prob some sense in that.
The places in barcelona outside of the centre are still pretty expensive for what you get.
For one barcelona isn’t very big, so it doesn’t really matter where you live.
And two, this is where everyone wants to live, away from the loudest traffic.
