Welcome to the forum Steve!

Where do you want to move? There are lots of expats in Spain, but I think Andalucia is the favourite destination.

Nowadays here we have a big problem with work… But being self-employed it’s different.

Thanks for the response, i am looking at areas around Granada, want to be somewhere with rich fertile soil for growing veg. So being self employed is better you think, good because i dont want to work for a company! Just been looking at English newspapers in Spain and thinking of advertising in some of them.
Thanks again
Adios
Steve

Glinty, welcome, one thing though, setting up as a builder here, just remember that you’ll have to be familiar with licensing, planning etc. Surprising as it may seem the building industry is regulated. Setting up as a subcontractor, ie working self employed for an existing builder may be an option though.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  After 8 years in Argentina (Bsas) we are heading back to Europe to be closer to family and looking at anywhere from Cadiz to Cordoba for a great international school for the kids to continue thier bilingual education.  There are so few posts on this subject so I’d love to hear from anyone with kids in any international school as we’re heading over in July to start a fast personal search before the school year begins.  The school year ends in December here so we have a timing issue to make this work.  All help greatly appreciated.
