We are British pensioners living in Spain and need to obtain an ITIN from the USA to get a refund of tax deducted.  This involves sending copies of our passports with an Apostille to the IRS.  Please can someone tell me how to go about getting that?  We live roughly on the border of Alicante and Valencia provinces.
They seem to make the process of getting our money back as difficult as possible and it is driving me mad.  My husband would give up and let them keep it, but I am not willing to contribute to the American economy, we have a big enough problem with our own!
I would appreciate any advice.

Maybe try Apostille Pros? http://www.apostillepros.com

They provide apostille and translation services. They can help with German, UK, Denmark, Belgium and United States documents.

How is the Alicante? I think I’m visiting there this summer.

I wouldn’t recommend any service to get apostilles. It’s quite simple enough do to oneself. What type of document needs apostilling and where was the document issued?

Hi dragonfly,

We have information on legalising a certified copy of a British passport on our website.

You can find it here:
