Hi!  I have a question that isn’t really covered in the other topics.

I’m an American who has been living in Spain for two years under the Auxiliares de Conversacion program.  This week I accepted a job offer from a public university as a lectora de ingles for the coming academic year.  The job is part time (10 hours per week).  I am currently in Spain under a student visa.

Does anyone know what procedure I should follow for obtaining a work visa?  Should I look to renew my student visa in Spain or return to the states to try for a working visa?

My contract begins in September and so far the university hasn’t been very helpful with responding to my questions as most of the staff is on holiday.
