I am an Non-European national and I have been offered a job in Barcelona. I need information about the procedures to obtain an working visa. The main questions are:

1) The job offered is Manager Level as a Specialist and I was told that for this position is much easy and quick the whole process. Does any anyone know if it is true ?

2) Is it possible to request the visa in Spain without having to return to my country ?

Hi Edgar, welcome to the forum.

I think you’re right, a specialist management position should garner an easier time with the application process, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be processed any faster! You should be talking to a gestor or lawyer about it though, especially since they know all the tricks to get it the fastest way possible. Usually these immigration-type lawyers won’t cost you too much.

I’m almost 100% sure you’ll still need to go home to pick up your visa however. Sorry!

Thank you for the imformation. Having to return home is very bad news. Usually the employer does not feel very comfortable with that idea, specially because waiting for the visa can be very long .
