Next month we will take an urn with ashes to the UK on Easy-Jet. It looks like we only need to declare it with the appropriate certificates and also have it as hand luggage. We just wondered if anybody had experience of this.

Two certificates were needed at Malaga Airport: Death Certificate and Cremation Certificate (with copies for the handler -or they will copy). Easyjet was familliar with the documents. Neither Easyjet or Security looked at the urn. The procedure requires you have the urn in the hand luggage not the hold. So, no problems.
