Hello
my Spanish partner and I (English) registered in Madrid as Pareja de Hecho 12 years ago.  We have a 11 year old son.  We moved to Galicia 4 years ago, but have not registered in the pareja de hecho register here.  We built a house over 10 years on land he was given by his parents, both of which are in his name.  We are now separating.  I am not sure what my rights are.  It’s a real mess. Can I claim half the house?

This is a very technical matter only lawyers can really help. I think it goes into things like, who paid for the house, etc., how much was paid, whose name, can you track the payments, and you can only claim what you?ve put into. Perhaps if you have custody of the kid, you may receive an allowance for the kid until he?s 18 or depends on the settlement. Note that I?m only saying general things, because each situation is different. I can only say this, just get yourself a decent lawyer, hang on and good luck!
