I’ve written my situation in somebody else’s forum topic, but it hasn’t been very fruitful, except that I helped another couple figuring out what to do to become pareja de hecho (you can search the forum for the topic called: ?Pareja de Hecho? Civil Union, to see what I wrote… I would put the link, but when I do I get an error message saying that I’m posting spam)

My partner and I are both Canadian and we will be signing the Barcelona Pareja de Hecho registry at the end of the month. He has a work visa and I’m living here on a non lucrativo visa that’s renewable every year, which doesn’t allow me to work.  I’m hoping that becoming Pareja de Hecho, it’ll be similar to being a spouse and I will be allowed to change my visa status to one allowing me to work.

Anybody know if it is possible?

Signed the registry!

Been to a few job interviews that went extremely well, but the bosses are not able to to get their legal staff to make me a contract. :(

Anyway, if anyone has any insight on this topic, I’m still hoping for any information.
