For the Forth year running, we are organising the residential summer courses, affiliated with the Laude Lady Elizabeth school, where students will stay with host families. Subsequently we would like to offer you the first opportunity to be part of this programme in 2013.
Summer School is being held for six weeks during July and August. Children staying with host families will attend school in Ll?ber from 09.30 to 16.30. A bus service will run from similar locations to those of the normal school term. The bus will collect residential students between approximately 08.30 and 09.00 in the morning and return them between 17.00 and 17.30 in the afternoon. They will need transport to and from the bus stop or to the school if there is not a bus stop nearby. Host parents are required to provide sufficient snacks and drinks to get their host student through the day, however, lunch is provided at the School at no cost to the host family.
Twice a week the students will have after school activities with monitors, this will include a trip to the beach for fun and games. On Saturday they will go to a theme park, either Terra Mitica or Aqualandia, drop off and pick up points are exactly the same place and time as for a school day, they will need a packed lunch for this trip.
We are looking for British families to host the Spanish students, and will consider all types of families, they do not necessarily have to be a family with children, they can be a retired couple or even a single parent, we will consider everybody. We just ask that the family dedicate their time to helping the Spanish students improve their English language skills, this is why we request that only English be spoken in the host family home during the students stay. If you would like to become a host family please complete the on-line questionnaire below, once this form has been submitted we will make arrangements to visit you in your home and meet you and your family. We will then be able to answer any questions you may have. We do require that all adult members of the host family complete a police check, and we will be able to assist you with the completion of this form.
While the students are here there will be 24hour support for the host families. We pay ?22.50 per student per night.
