Hello

I have a lovely town house for long term let in Montefrio.  350 euros per month.  The house is in an excellent position in the centre of the town 2 minute walk to the round church and has all you need for a very comfy stay.  It is furnished for permanent living.  Briefly Lounge/diner, fully equipped kitchen, 3 double bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower outside terrace, sky tv etc.  Montefrio is about 40 mins from Granada and is a very pretty town of around 7000 surrounded by olive groves.  You would be in the midst of Spanish but with a number of English speaking families settled here,  so would never feel isolated.  The town has all you need for day to day living banks, shops, library with free wi fi, schools etc.  pubs (with free tapas - 4 tubos means no need to buy lunch)  If you would like any further info please let me know.  There is a bus to Granada

Thanks for sending this.  I will discuss with my partner.  It sounds very nice but it may be a little far from Granada as we will likely be going into town every day.

Does anyone know about the ability to get high speed Internet in the Granada area?  Do most of the towns have this and is it dependable?  I do alot of work on the Interent and having a good connection will be quite important.  I wonder if this will cut down on the areas we would be able to consider for housing?

Hi Nigel.

My husband works from home and is reliant on the internet too.  Where we live Telefonica have not installed even a land line, so we use Iberbanda (a company of Telefonica, go figure!) and we have three computers using internet (WiFi) and touching wood, seems OK and the speed is OK too!  Hope that helps! The techno king is my husband so if you need any more info, just ask and I?ll ask him!

Hi I am thinking of moving to Grenada for 3 or four months to learn spanish. Can anyone recommend one particular school over another?

We have Spanish friends in Ecija who run a language school. They offer full immersion courses, where you live with a Spanish family. I think this is a great way to learn the language!!!! You can choose the amount of time and also if you want Spanish lessons as well.
