Curious to know if the non EU expats on here went through an attorney to get a residency visa for Spain
or if they did it on their own. I am thinking about getting a Retirement Visa. Thanks!!

Not strictly necessary, although there are a lot of bureaucratic hoops to be jumped through and personal visits to the nearest Spanish Embassy.
