Today is July 4th and once again, I have no plans for celebration. I shouldn’t say “once again” like that because when I was young my father would ensure we were an important part of the warzone that was the main street of Columbia Falls or wherever was closest to the camp site that year.
On the weekend, Amersoc appropriated Canada’s birthday, Canada Day (July 1), for their BBQ special celebrating Independence Day ahead of schedule to allow for those Americans forced to work according to Spanish schedules (which is a rather nice notion considering how many more holidays Spain has), aka, today.
I am, however, off to see the big partido tonight though, which will rock. Go Germany!
Are there any Americans doing anything special today besides World Cup action? Are we allowed fireworks?
