I am getting my Spanish Citizenship through “arraigo”. My wife asked me a question that I have not been able to get answered , maybe you guys can help? How long does a Spanish Citizen have to work in Spain (years) in order to qualify for the equivalent of a US social security retirement? I have heard different stories but I have not beeen able to confirm. A link would be nice.

This is such a complex question that?s probably why you?ve heard different stories.  I have no idea what the equivalent of a US Social Security retirement is or your specific circumstances, but to get you started I?ll suggest that you take a look at this:
