Has anyone out there got it walking in Spain (or hiking in American parlance) using GPS with downloaded maps ?? If so where did you get the digital maps? Also anyone into Geocaching - if so share your experiences!! Thanks

Walking translated to you I guess to you means hiking!

Since I posted I have learned more about the Hiking GPS that I bought over the net from USA (had to pay Spanish customs import tax) its an Garmin ETREX Vista HCX - you name it - it does it!

Having tried to get digital Spanish maps on the cheap and failed I have paid the 150 euros and bought the Garmin CD containing the maps of Spain from a Spanish supplier and that will be this weekends project! Given the current wet weather probably not a bad idea.

Carry on enjoying Barcelona and I hope the hiking is good - I will have to come down and try sometime - with the GPS I should be able to find it!

Thanks for the link guys but it was already in my bookmarks! - to be honest the urban angle had not really occurred to me - yes exploring cities can be very interesting but to be honest I like my hiking to escape the urban jungle!
