Hi There me and my husband are moving to Murcia in April and we are intending to drive along with our 9 month old pup and our 4 year old African grey parrot.  Can anybody tell me does the customs inspect your vehicles at every border?  If you have pets with you do they need to see there certificates etc at every border?

Cheers

I came with a cat to Spain.

You just need a “passport “that you receive with a simple visit to the vet where he confirms that the animal is healthy and some more relevant information.

As the borders are open, they do not inspect every vehicle, but you have to decide if you are willing to take the risk…get caught and drive all the way back to get that information.

With 1 visit to the vet, you can get the right paperwork to import your animals.

cheers
