Hello
I am an American teaching English in Asia.  My long time Asian friend/roommate wants to try to come with me when I move to Spain in June.  She needs a visa and I don’t think she can get the 90 day tourist visa, though she is trying.  It looks like she can get a two week schengen visa.  Think, think, think.  Came up with idea of student visa at a language school for a month.  Buys time to look for a job.  She’ll need the language anyway.  My question is getting a work permit for her.  She’s not a teacher, not a journalist.  She’s good with people, English is excellent and is a good sales clerk.  What are the chances of getting decent work?  Can she be autonomo? What kind of residency would be appropriate for her?  Worried because she couldn’t return to her home country if she were residing illegally in another.
Thanks for any imput you can give.
