Hello…

me pregunto where I can find a list of the 25 most used expressions in Spain? I am becoming a vagabond in Spain in a month and would like to start learning some very Spanish expressions tal como “yo soy la leche” etc.

Anyone have a link to a straight list?

Se les agradece de antemano.

If you think it’s worth ?27, Notes in Spanish do a great download consisting of three half-hour podcasts and a “book” for printing off, called the Real Spanish Phrase Book, at http://www.notesinspanish.com/store/real-spanish-phrase-book.html.  It goes through lots of phrases in context with explanations of who, when and why a phrase might be used, and how appropriate it may be at any given point.  A bit steep but I enjoyed it, and shared it with several friends so we got our money’s worth.  In book form, Joe Keenan’s Break Out of Beginner’s Spanish is brilliant at giving you the sort of phrase that makes you sound like a native (dangerously so, sometimes). Someone once told me you can’t go wrong if you spell SOCKS out loud (eso si que es).  Pues nada, mucha suerte.
