This is an easy one. If you have the same kit as me -Iberbanda supplied us with a small, light coloured box which takes in radio and mains power - and has a single RJ45 network connector out. This is the 512k service… They then feed that into a router in our case, but any old router will do. A standard ADSL router indeed will do. Simply tell the router there is NO adsl - but that it should provide DHCP internally. Set your router address to 192.168.0.1 - and set th DHCP to start at 192.168.0.2 - so any computers you attach to the router either by hardwire or wireless - will use addresses between 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.255
I run 2 laptops and an Internet radio, all wirelessly off the router. Indeed as we have a cave home, the wireless signal can’t quite make it to the upper bedroom - which is upstairs, along a corridor and beyond - all in stone. So the way I’ve gotten around THAT is to buy a pair of plug-in-the-mains Internet adaptors - these send network signals down the mains. So imagine you have the Iberbanda unit downstairs - that attached to a router. One the the outputs from the router plugs into one of these mains units that is plugged into the mains. Upstairs you plug the other mains unit in - and plug that into a second router - that router has ADSL turned off - and ALSO DHCP turned off - so it’s acting like a slave, taking in the connection and redistributing it. All works a treat.
If you’re familiar with WIFI - you’ll know you can give your WIFI a name - and there are options to set radio channels. Give both units the same name - but if possible put them on different channels - and don’t forget to give them security - same passwords also. So now you should have more or less seamless WIFI all over the place. At home back in the UK I have a stone cottace and even 2 routers won’t make it so I do the same trick with three and get coverage throughout the entire building and surrounding garden, no problem. I use Netgear ADSL routers which you can pick up for maybe ?50 each.
Hope this is helpful. Sadky this is not your only problem - getting the Iberbanda service to run reliably is also an issue. I’ve set up battery backup on mine and it still fails from time to time (recovering automatically). I’ve yet to do proper testing on this - that’s coming next and I’ll report back if anyone is interested.

Hi, new to the forum and new to this type of internet connection.
http://www.radiotec.info/images/ibequips.gif
a friend of mine has Iberbanda and can only connect one pc up to it through the avitel interface in the diagram above.
I’ve heard its possible to hook a router up to this but I don’t know how to do that or how to configure it as I can’t find any useful instructions online.
I’m pretty good with computers and following directions so please feel free to get as technical as you like, I can’t find any info online and I would rather only phone Iberbanda as a last resort.
