Can you cancel the contract? I know that means you’ll lose money because they’re probably going to charge you for canceling but you’re not getting any service!
No, you’re wrong. If you cannot get the service, you can terminate the contract without penalty. I’ve been using ONO broadband for 6 years by now ...
Does anyone in this forum have a solution? What’s the best recourse in a situation like this?
I’ve have a very strong feeling that the main problem here is ... the computer itself. MAC is not very common in Spain :zip: As a matter of fact I wanted to buy one of the new MacBook but gave up when I was told that, in case of any problem with the laptop, there was no service anywhere in Spain except in Madrid (but at FNAC they told me there is another one in Barcelona, and this confused me even more). Considering that I live in Alicante that would mean huge transport charges ... and possibly a minimum of 3 months before I got back my laptop.
Anyway, if you speak Spanish fluently, you can call the Atenci?n al Cliente ONO number and ask for technical support by p?hone. They can “see” your connection from there and sometimes solve it directly. Or suggest you how to solve it entering in DOS ... but obviously that works if you’re using Windows or Vista ...
I don’t really know what to say. I already put 2 reclamaci?nes to ONO, and apparently it worked. They finally managed to solve my problems ... Why don’t you try it?? Keep in mind that, at present, ONO is the cheapest, faster and best Internet provider available in Spain  for it uses digital connections . The other main provider, Telefonica, is still using dedicated phone lines in many parts of Spain ... thus reducing the quality of the service. All other offers - ORANGE, JAZZTEL, YA.COM, etc. - ‘borrow’ some Telefonica lines ...
