Are these grants also for people using there home as a hiloday home, so owners living abroad and nod having their permanent address at their Spanish address?
Nope ... you must be a permanent resident. Besides it might take a lot of time ... especially now, with this awful crisis which appears to affect Spain more that expected
Disagree, we use a specialist Gestor for applications and here is a list of requirements for the applications we have submitted over the last two years ( You will note there are two types of Status for applicants)

Amount: up to 45% of the project?s cost.
Application before installing the system. The system can be installed with no need to wait to receive the grant. If aid is granted, an inspector shall survey the installation once finished and approve payment.
RENEWABLE ENERGIES INCLUDED: solar, biomass, solar photovoltaic, geothermal, wind turbine
Documents to be submitted:
? Application form, duly filled in
? Certified photocopy of applicant?s ID/NIE
? In the case of non-Spanish applicants:
If applicant resides in Spain more than 180 days per year:
- Certificate from Tax Office confirming that the applicant is up to date with his/her taxes or authorisation for AVEN to obtain this information from the Tax Office (to be stated on the same application form)
If applicant resides in Spain less than 180 days per year:
- Sworn statement stating that applicant lives in Spain less than 180 days per year, that he is the owner of the house where the installation will be done and that he doesn?t receive any income in Spain.
? If applicant is not a European Citizen:
- Certified photocopy of Passport
? Bank Certificate or Bank statement showing that applicant is the person named on the bank account provided.
? Technical report to be filled in by the installing company (including description of the pump, pipes, power used, energy saving, etc)
? C?dula de habitabilidad of the house (certificate of fitness for habitation issued by the town hall) or, if the house is not finished yet, building license or similar certificate issued by the town hall stating that the building is legal.
? Once the installation is finished
- Proof of payment of the installation: Copy of invoice plus cheque and bank statement or transfer statement proving that payee and issuer of invoice are the same.
Information needed for application form:
Personal Details:
Name, Surname, ID/NIE No., Address, Telephone Number, Fax Number (if any), e-mail address, Correspondence address.
Address of the house where the installation will be made, including Pol?gono and Parcela numbers (area and plot number)
Project?s start date and finishing date
Type of home: Primary residence or second home (holiday home)
Bank Details: 20 digits account number, Name of Bank, Address of Bank
Declaration of other grants received, if any (stating granting Board, type of Grant, amount received and date of reception.
