Hi all.  I’m looking at moving my family over to Mallorca next year and obviously one of the most important things to organise is the schools.
I am happy with sending them to the state schools as I am already getting them a few lessons here and I believe they are at the right age to take it all in.
Now I am going to be renting an apartment and then getting my residency and NIE number sorted as soon as.  I am not going to be working for a while as I wish to enjoy the Island for 6 months or so and then look at starting a business.  I have heard however that if you are not paying into the Social security system then the children will not be allowed to enrol at school.  Does anyone know if this is the case?
