We are in the process of finalising our move to Lanzarote, but have one area that we are struggling to get answers on.

My partner has a very rare condition, which means she requires an infusion by means of intravenous injection, every three weeks. The name off this is I.G.g. This treatment is obviously free on the NHS, and my understanding is that, being self employed in Lanzarote, and paying social security payments, should be available there too.

We can’t seem to get confirmation of this however, as it is such a rare condition. I believe it affects something like 1 in every 100,000 people in the UK.

We are really trying to get to speak with someone who may work in the health system in Spain, to find out if the treatment exists in Spain, although we can’t think for one minute why it would not!

A bit of a long shot posting on this forum but, you never know!

Thanks for looking
